Breastfeeding

I was writing an article about related, and this popped into my head. It's been over a decade since my youngest child weaned himself, but I continue to be fascinated by breastfeeding. It's really magical when you think about it. Anyway, just a quick thought for today.

If a breastfed baby wants to nurse more often than usual, there’s a reason. It could be the warm weather. It could be that your baby is headed into a growth spurt (and is working hard at increasing your milk supply, because nursing works on a supply and demand basis). Or it could be that your baby isn’t feeling well and is looking for some added comfort. (Your breasts are so much more than a source of food to your baby, as any experienced nursing mama will tell you.)
