Sandra Steingraber in Orion Magazine

A few of you may recall when I blogged about biologist-mother Sandra Steingraber back in June. (I had heard her interviewed on CBC Radio's The Current and had passed along some of the notes I took while listening. I was mesmerized.)

Anyway, my mother-writer friend Andrea McDowell of the environmental blog Zoopolis just alerted me to the fact that Steingraber has an article in the September/October issue of Orion Magazine. It's an even more pointed call to action for parents.

Her message this time around? You can't shop your way to a solution when it comes to the environmental crisis. The actions we need to be taking as parents, for the sake of our children, are much more far-reaching than that.
